Blog 16 2 Hour Meeting Answer # 2

1.  What is the Best way to help a Basic/Below Basic Middle School student retain knowledge in a history class?

2.  My Second answer for my EQ is a balance of group and individual work.

3.  1- A constant flow of Individual work will lose the students attention, and although they will focus, they will not seek peer consultation on questions. Thus cutting off possible, if maybe correct answers. Only having one mind to work with.
2- Group work, although it works almost all the time, is never guaranteed to work. Variables are always introduced that could create un stability, such as the combination of group members, or the topic. Two students may not do work, and thus wont learn what they're supposed to, and their weight will be pulled by someone else.
3- A Combination of the two forms of work ensure that each person pull something from at least one of the two activities, stimulating their own brain in self thought, and creativeness in group work.

4.  Just.. observing... and yeah, a few psychology articles.

5.  I plan to continue to study my answer 2 by pursuing Child Psychology literature? Child Development books? I don't know.
